Abstrak

One of the regions in Banyumas district has problems with inundation and flooding during the rainy season in every year.  As a result, it causes damages to roads, disrupts traffic and community activities and economic losses for people in inundated areas. The method in the study is survey research by using quantitative descriptive method that the research is more directed at revealing a problem or actual situation and revealing the facts. Selection of simulation method using SWMM 5.1 software. Based on the simulation results by using SWMM 5.1 software, it can be seen that the water capacity of the existing drainage channel namely the 10th anniversary period consisting of 170 channels, 85 overflowing channels, and 85 non-overflowing channels, therefore it includes less category. To handle the overflowing channel, it is necessary to redesign to increase the channel capacity. The adequate of dimension channel is if the water capacity obtained is less than 1% so that the channel does not overflow.
